Description

While JD unrar is running, a percent completion is displayed. After this percent completion reaches 99%, it begins to oscillate (for example 99, 82, 100, 85, 100, ... 98, 100). This is sometimes as much as half of the total time to unrar the file.

My main objection to this is that it is sloppy and looks unprofessional. 100% should never be displayed until unrar has completed all work on the file. This is almost as bad as the useless "progress display" for Microsoft Installer.

This is an indication of an error. I am concerned about the source of the error. Is the error is in unrar? Is the error comparison of compressed size with the total extracted? Is it caused by using the size of the initial part instead of all parts? Is it not allowing for overhead (like checking the Hashes)?
